HUMANE BAT CONTROL FOR PALMETTO HOMES

Palmetto Bat Control & Removal

Bats roosting in your Palmetto attic, soffits, or roof tiles? Our licensed technicians humanely exclude bats, seal entry points, and clean up guano, following Florida’s bat protection rules.

Palmetto's Trusted Bat Control Specialists

Older homes and outbuildings near the Manatee River, along with newer tile-roofed homes, give bats in Palmetto plenty of sheltered places to roost under tiles, in soffits, and in attic spaces.

Bats are protected in Florida, so removing them takes the right method and the right timing. Prodigy Pest Solutions uses humane, one-way exclusion to get bats out of your Palmetto home without harming them, then seals every entry point so they can’t return.

  • Licensed bat control technicians
  • Humane removal and exclusion
  • Thorough roof, attic, and exterior inspections
  • Entry point sealing and guano cleanup
  • 100% satisfaction guarantee

Signs You Have Bats in Your Palmetto Home

Most Palmetto homeowners first notice bats at dusk, when they stream out from under roof tiles or soffits to feed. Other signs include droppings (guano) piling up below entry points, dark stains around vents and gaps, scratching or squeaking in the attic, and a strong ammonia smell.

Timing matters in Florida. Bat exclusion isn’t allowed during maternity season, from April 15 through August 14, when young bats can’t fly yet. If you notice bats in spring or summer, call us early so we can inspect, plan, and be ready to start exclusion as soon as the season allows.

OUR BAT CONTROL PROCESS

1. Inspect

We inspect your Palmetto home's roof, attic, and exterior to find where bats are roosting and every gap they're using to get in.

2. Exclude

We install one-way exclusion devices that let bats leave but keep them from getting back in, outside of Florida's maternity season.

3. Seal

Once the bats are out, we seal entry points with durable materials so they can't return and other pests can't get in.

4. Clean

We remove guano and debris, clean affected areas, and let you know if any attic insulation or materials need to be replaced.

I have a Prodigy yearly plan and appreciate their services. Today Wilbur did a monthly spray both outside and inside the house. He was prompt and pleasant and always asks me where I need the solution sprayed in addition to all the usual spots they cover. I highly recommend Prodigy.

Residential Pest Control FAQs

Yes, as long as it's done humanely. Bats are protected in Florida, so they can't be killed or harmed. One-way exclusion is the legal method, and it can't be done during maternity season, April 15 through August 14.
Look for bats flying out at dusk, guano piling up below roof tiles or vents, dark stains around openings, and scratching or squeaking in the attic. We can confirm it with an inspection.
Exclusion devices stay up for several nights, at least four with mild overnight temperatures, to make sure every bat has left. Then we seal the entry points and clean up. Most jobs wrap up within one to two weeks.
Bat guano builds up over time, can damage insulation and wood, and can carry the fungus that causes histoplasmosis. Bats can also find their way into living spaces. Getting them out and cleaning up quickly protects your home and your family.
Once every entry point is sealed, it's very unlikely. We seal the gaps bats used and the ones they could use next.
Yes. If bats get back in through an entry point we missed, we'll come back and fix it at no extra charge.
