Venice is a Slice of Paradise
Whether you prefer the excitement of an established downtown region, or want to spend your afternoons searching for fossilized shark teeth on the beach, Venice has what you’re looking for. Blending together downtown charm with natural beauty, Venice, Florida, has become a popular destination for tourists and families alike — and we can see why.
We love living in and serving the Venice region. This quiet piece of paradise may not be as busy as other Florida destinations, but when it’s time to slow down, relax, and play, Venice is exactly where we want to be. These local spots prove it!
Explore The Beaches
It goes without saying that Venice is home to some of the best beaches in the world. With crystal-blue waters and white sands, you will feel as if you have stepped into a Caribbean paradise without leaving the continental 48.
Venice Beach has become one of the more popular spots for families looking to splash in the ocean and play in the sand. Maintained by Sarasota County, parking, lifeguard services, and concession stands offer visitors all the amenities they could ever need on the beach. And those who love our beaches will be glad to know that Venice Beach is a Certified Blue Wave Beach. It’s nationally recognized for being clean and environmentally friendly!
If a quieter day at the beach is your speed, check out Caspersen Beach. Described by our friends at Visit Venice as a “nature lovers’ paradise,” Caspersen Beach’s reputation is bolstered in what can be found along the shore line. It’s a well-known hotspot for finding fossilized shark teeth! Plus, parts of the beach have been left natural and untouched.
Dine and Shop Downtown
Pulling its name from the popular Italian city, it’s not surprising that downtown Venice, Florida, would transport you to another world. Venice’s architecture and slow lifestyle will pull you back to simpler times of the 1920s, while events, dining, and shops will leave you excited to explore.
Café Venice Restaurant and Bar offers fine dining in the heart of Venice, and BrewBurgers is the best spot for one of Florida’s greatest burgers and an icy cold pint. Meanwhile, Café Longet will take you to France, and Ciao Gelato plays into our city’s Italian heritage by offering cool, refreshing treats.
Once you’re full, check out some great local art or craft goods. The Venice Art Center hosts classes and activities for families. Its exhibitions are also free to the public. Next, check out DanaTyler for boutique fashions, Crate & Marrow for all things pets, and Cleopatra’s Bath & Body Boutique for relaxing home remedies.
